Watkins Glen State Park - Early Morning Hike

June 10, 2018

As a photographer, there are so many places on my "bucket list" to see in person and photograph. Watkins Glen State Park - and more specifically, Rainbow Falls, has been on my list for a long time. I saw photos of it online more than 10 years ago and on Saturday morning, I was finally able to capture it in the glory of early-morning light…

DePauw University Athletics - Super Saturday

October 22, 2017

It was a busy Saturday for Tiger athletics on Saturday when the football team hosted Wittenburg, the volleyball team welcomed Oberlin for their senior day and the field hockey team faced off against Oberlin, as well. The women's teams had a dominant day against Oberlin, beating them 3-0 on the court and a whopping 9-0 on the field. The #25-ranked football team was dealt it's first loss of the season. Here's my quick account of Super Saturday from my lens. Cheers!

2017 Red Bull Air Race - Finals

October 16, 2017

You could cut the air (or a pylon) when the finals for the Indy Red Bull Air Race began on Sunday, Oct. 15 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The wind and rain tried it's best to keep the planes grounded, but the race faithful filled the stands and you could hear their excitement as the day progressed from a field of 14, down to 8 and as the final four duked it out for the top spot for the year. The winner was pilot Yoshi Muroya and he became Japan’s first Red Bull Air Race world champion. Cheers!

DePauw University Football - Beat Wooster

September 23, 2017

The opportunity came around again for me to "guest coach" with another of DePauw University's athletic teams this fall and I jumped on the opportunity to spend some time with HC Bill Lynch, his staff and team this week on the gridiron. First- thank you's owed to the athletic department for the incredible opportunity and to Coach Lynch and his staff for being so welcoming this week.

Zion National Park

November 26, 2016

Zion National Park in Utah is on the top 10 list of most-visited National Parks. It's easy to see why after visiting there three years ago about this time of year. I recently went looking for a photo I had of a turkey to post online and when I finally remembered where it was - I figured I might as well put up a blog post about Zion! Turkey photo found below. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hawkeyes Blank Illinois, 28-0

November 19, 2016

The first day of winter, or so it would seem, was today. Despite the 30-degree cold chill, The Iowa Hawkeyes came out hot and blanked Illinois, 28-0. The hometown team couldn't keep up with the Iowa run game and suffered their eighth loss of the season.

As always, it's an honor any time I get the opportunity to photograph the Hawkeyes when they are within driving distance of Indy. Beside some really cold fingers and toes, the day was a success, both photographically and in the win column for the Hawks.  #GoHawks #Until
